I just found my dream dog. This is why I shouldn’t torture myself by browsing Petfinder.com.

I’ve had a fascination with Australian Cattle Dogs for a long time (mostly for their look/coat/color, loyalty and general badassery - READ: Mad Max) and have always had a soft spot for Corgis (due to their compact size and supreme cuteness, also the Queen has like a trillion of them).

This 7 month old gorgeous pup is a Corgi-Cattle Dog mix. I’ve never wanted something more than this pup right now. I didn’t think I could ever love another dog the way I did my golden retriever, Comet, but I see something in this dog that if I were not in Brooklyn living a miserable life, I would snatch him up in a second. If you live in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area, and if you fall as hard as I did, please adopt him (then hand him over to me when I can have a dog again…)

Smodcasts

Kevin Smith and producer Scott Mosier have been doing these Smodcasts (Smith + Mosier + Podcast) since 2007 and I only started listening to them last week beginning with Smodcast 1.

There are 98.

I’m at 26 and have put all my reading on pause because I can’t stop listening to them. There is nothing overtly fascinating about them to a casual observer, but I’ve had a slight obsession with all things Kevin Smith since high school. He reminds me a lot of my father in the way he talks and his subject matter (mostly the emphasis on aesthetics, pop culture and his way of life).

If you enjoy nostalgia, uninhibited sex talk, every little thing about Kevin Smith including bowel movements, anal fissures and his dog’s mating habits, I suggest you take a listen. They are about an hour long each so take caution when starting, you may begin to forget your daily obligations (such as showering, feeding the hamster, etc).

An all inclusive search engine where you can find your neighborhood’s propensity for creepy gropers, street bums and hecklers at various times in the day. Much like Weather.com, it gives you hourly updates on the likelihood of a pervert/rapist lurking around the corner on your brisk 6 am walk to the J train.

*A site I wish actually existed for days I need to catch an early flight. I can handle coming home on the L at 2 am, but getting up and going anywhere between 4 and 6 am on the J is a completely different story.

On that note, I’ll be heading to NC for holiday. To eat amazing food, snuggle a couple-a piggies, see the hetero-lifemate, get high with the brother and get drunk with the mother. Father is not included, emotions sold separately. Have a week!

I’ve had a recent revelation. My only problem is that I need more power over it, a little bit more control to manipulate this situation in my favor. But I don’t. And this is going to take some time before I can do anything definitive about it. At first I was distraught, now I am the most relieved I’ve ever been. A sliver of hope has presented itself and it may be what I need.

I can’t be less vague. It wouldn’t make sense to anyone even if I spoke plainly. But I needed to say something. This blog is the least personal thing in my life that I have put little to no effort in to maintaining. I think I’m going to give it up for awhile, since there really is no point in saying things that don’t really matter to me. Stupid pictures and interesting stories are nice for consuming, but I don’t really care about sharing it with others anymore. It’s for my own enjoyment and my google reader does the job better anyhow.

I’ll still keep following some of you as you do put a smile on my face every day. And I won’t delete my blog, I’ll keep it up just in case I want to come back and maybe share experiences from my own life rather than the lives of others. I’ve got a long way to go, but I’ll figure it out. Thanks for listening.

I managed to piss off a blogger, even though she omitted the actual statement I wrote in her question to Tumblr, to make me look like the asshole. The world tries to teach us about truth and honesty, but no one ever wants to hear it. Instead the defenses come up and they start frothing at the mouth. It’s adorable.

Whatever, if I haven’t pissed off a narcissistic, ego-maniacal blogger at least once a day, then I haven’t done my job.
